Eat the Bear Protein Review

Who doesn’t love free stuff?

Eat the Bear was giving away free samples on their Instagram page so of course I signed up! They sent me three single serving pouches of their grizzly protein powder to try in three different flavors: chocolate, vanilla and peanut butter.

I tried the chocolate flavor today after a long WOD at my box (hehehe I still can’t type box without laughing) and it was really good!

Chocolate

The chocolate flavor is definitely a little sweeter than my usual protein and it didn’t have any sort of vitamin or artificial aftertaste that I’ve gotten from other brands. It tasted a lot like a sweet milkshake. I used Lactaid milk for my protein shakes because it tastes way better and plus you get some extra protein and calcium up in there. One of the things I like about Eat the Bear’s products is that they’re lactose free which is helpful for those of us that have a love-hate relationship with milk.

Eat the Bear is also gluten free for all you gluten haters and has about 24-25 grams of protein per serving depending on which flavor you choose.

Chocolate Peanut Butter

I think between chocolate and chocolate peanut butter I actually prefer chocolate peanut butter. The consistency and sweetness level is the same as the chocolate flavor but that added peanut butter makes this protein powder the candy of protein powder. It legit tastes like Reese’s Pieces so I would recommend this if you have a sweet tooth. I don’t think I could drink this everyday after a workout but I definitely will purchase a couple packets to have on hand in case I feel like I need some candy in my life.

If you want to try out their products check out their website, or you can find them on Amazon.

I found that most of the flavors are cheaper on Amazon, but their website does have a travel pack that includes a shaker cup and a variety of single serve pouches.
